This metaphorical series of self portraits made by the photographers blood, sweat and tears, combined with daily substances she consumes takes you within the abstract beauty of the smallest reactions that occur within our bodies, a realm largely unseen by the naked eye. The microscopic reactions shows us the beauty of the unseen within us is just as awe-inspiring as the majestic views of the cosmos and when we pause to consider them we are reminded of the interconnectedness of all lifeforms. A delicate dance that keeps us alive often unnoticed, form the foundation of life itself.
FLOW
A state of constant movement, a complete immersion and engagement in an activity. When individuals are in flow, they experience a sense of timelessness, losing track of hours as they become fully absorbed in what they are doing.
INTROSPECTION
Materialistic greed, driven by an insatiable desire for possessions and wealth, often neglects ethical and environmental concerns. Leading to waste disposal, dumping plastics and pollutants into the ocean. This series uses sarcasm to critique our society’s materialism, highlighting the irony that we need visually appealing images to draw attention to environmental issues.
RESONANCE
The Harmony of Vibrations visualised through the medium of a vibrating surface covered with water, reveal the hidden geometries of sound.
FLUDITITY
The fluidity of sexuality emphasises the importance of viewing sexual orientation as a spectrum rather than a binary construct. By acknowledging that sexual attractions can change and evolve, society can move towards a more inclusive and understanding approach.
